"Heap of shit"

Everyone with sense has reviewed this saying something along the lines of "this is completely ripping of Bonus Stage". They are not wrong. I don't care you have tried - badly - to justify that it's actually just similar to BS and not actually copying it, there are so many similarities between this and BS that you simply can't defend it.

The first scene is a perfect example. The 'comic' timing you've used for the bits about getting a job, and using the guy with the brown hair's money to get a TV, is unbelievably derivative of the first BS episode, Car (when Joel is going on about 'I have a car').

I was going to list off some other blatantly stolen BS bits, but thinking about it, this is doing Matt Wilson's cartoon a diservice - whereas his cartoon was original, funny, and well thought-out, yours is a heap of shit. The jokes - even when they're not badly attemping to rip-off BS - are rubbish, the sound-quality is STILL piss-poor 3 episodes into the series, and pretty much everything is tired and predictable. I mean seriously, you used a Benny Hill sequence. And that "I'm not getting a job" joke was built up beyond belief.

So yeah, perhaps this review has missed the boat by about a year, but your series was crap then, and it's even worse now.

First things first - ledgy, you are a dick, I can't believe you view a submission like this which has great animation and a nice little story, and simply say 'ARE YOU GAY?!?!'. In response to that, I have to ask if you're mentally handicapped.

Secondly - this little cartoon was great, perhaps a little short but the story it told fit the timeframe perfectly. I really like the drawing style also, it's very unique.

So yeah, good job! I hope to see more soon.

Well, I actually thought it was pretty good until you decided to make an extremely offensive joke about the 9/11 tragedy. Sorry, but it's just not funny, and it never will be - you could easily have just avoided mentioning it and this wouldn't have been that bad.

Genuinally hilarious submissions are so rare on NG these days, so this came as an enormous surprise to me - it's absolutely brilliant! Not only is it drawn/animated extremely well, but it was laugh-out-loud funny. Furthermore, the video-game parodies you had dotted around added to the humour, rather than taking away from it - I see so many animations where video game parodies are used to drive the plot, rather than adding to it.

My non-existent hat comes off to you!

Nearly all of tonight's submissions have been absolutely dire, especially most of the '4th of July' ones. So imagine my surprise when I watch this little gem - it was great! Perhaps a little short - but not too short - with great animation, and it was actually funny.

I actually purchased the full version last week, but I thought I'd review it here - it is, in a word, awesome. It's obvious you've spent a lot of time on this in regard to the frame-by-frame stuff and the lip-sync, and it's all come together brilliantly, and hilariously.

As a side note, I do really respect your decision to have made and released this in the first place - I've always believed it's up to the creator to decide if he or she wants their work seen, and I know how much you've come to hate working on Bonus Stage, despite people trolling the Couch Slave forums going 'omg relesse eps 89-100 lolz!'.

So yeah, very nice work - I'm more than willing to pay for any future BS episodes you want to release, but in all honesty I'm looking forward more to your two new cartoon series.

This is the hardest low score I've ever had to give, because quite honestly I really like the idea behind this Flash - it's an original idea, and your pictures have this quirky style to them, which I think is great.

But! This isn't deviantart, it's Newgrounds, and as such it really should be for Flash animations and games, and I don't think this technically counts as either.

So yeah, sorry - I do like your drawings a lot, but this Flash fails to contain any real substance, and despite liking your drawings, I personally think it would have benefitted from having a lot more displayed.

A suggestion - take your drawing style and make a cartoon out of it. That would be awesome!

"Excellent"

The animation on this thing was excellent - I especially loved the guy shouting with all the spit going everywhere (that looked awesome!). I was somewhat worried about the alien and predator bit haha, but oh well!

Anyway, I can't give this a really high score because there was obviously no plot/proper sound, but as a collection of unfinished animations, it was very good.

Hopefully we'll see this kind of animation in a completed project in the future!

As a fellow Newgrounder who has also started a comedy series that has the word 'adventures' in the title - and, strangely, involves masturbation jokes - I thought this was pretty good. Everything looked nice, and it was animated well - equally, while a small amount of the jokes didn't quite hit home with me, I still thought it was funny throughout.

By the way, I think there's a total of 2 (oh noes!) reviews that questioned the plot/ability to turn this into a series. I'd totally ignore them, as you've got the classic 'housemates who get into comic situations' thing going on, which has nearly endless scope for plotlines and gags. Equally, a few people commented on the graphics, but to be perfectly honest everything looked - while not exactly mind-blowing - very good and certainly fit the style of the cartoon well.

So yeah, nice one - I look forward to your next submission!

...but I did actually really like it, good job! It was pretty funny, and despite having a lengthy (and amusing) intro, you didn't cop-out and not actually animate the fight - when Ringman fell on his head at the start, I thought 'oh great, it's one of those jokey Flashes that ends before you expect it to'. But you didn't do that, so nice one.

Btw, I would have rated the graphics higher but, well, they weren't technically your graphics :P
