So is it safe to assume Steve 4 is done for? or would you say its in something of a "Development Hell"?
Thanks for viewing my profile! I've worked for a bunch of production companies including Aardman Animations and the BBC and I post about my experiences on NG. I also created the vaguely popular Steve series which I update once every million years. Whoops!

Oh wow I haven't logged into NG in a million years, I've only just seen your post - sorry about that.
Your question has actually got me thinking about a lot of things, namely the nature of creativity once you land a creative job. I've been lucky enough to work in TV for almost a decade now and it has had a profound effect on my creative output in my own time, or to be more blunt I've simply stopped making stuff when I'm out of work.
It's a weird thing to think about. I vividly remember being so passionate about making short films and animations in my own time, and happily spending a few hours checking out new submissions to the NG Portal. Now, I honestly can't even remember the last time I made anything in Flash, and I think the last short film I made just for fun was in... 2011?
The point I am torturously getting to is that work has now become my creative output, at least when it comes to visual media, and while I would honestly love to carry on with the Steve series (or, indeed, any new animation or film) I just don't see it happening anymore. I'm still very fond of the Steve series and it still seems so fresh in my mind, but Steve 3 came out nearly ten years ago!
If I ever dabble in animation again I'll post something up here for sure. I'd love to get back into artwork (not that I was much of an artist in the first place) so hey, who knows?
Thanks for your continued love of the series <3
@Katanakaji @Neo-Egyptian I too haven't logged into newgrounds since the death of flash for some time, but know Mr. Wright, some of us live in a twilight of a simpler time- what with how much this COVID-19 business has rocked our world and such...
I've seen many promising creators disappear into the fog of the zeitgeist, and personally- I still have faith in you. Take care Mate.
