Thanks for viewing my profile! I've worked for a bunch of production companies including Aardman Animations and the BBC and I post about my experiences on NG. I also created the vaguely popular Steve series which I update once every million years. Whoops!

AARDMAN TRAILERS RELEASED FOR PIRATES!

Posted by Neo-Egyptian - July 14th, 2011

After working for Aardman for over eight months on their next feature film, I can finally show you some footage from it - because they've just released both the American and International trailers!

AMERICAN TRAILER

INTERNATIONAL TRAILER

Personally, I feel the American one shows the characters a bit more (and looks amazing in 1080p) but I really, really love the song in the International one - it demonstrates the sense of humour in the film and is also a pretty great shanty, so that's good!

So what do you guys think?

UPDATE: As I said in my last post, if any of you have any questions about Aardman (such as how certain processes work, how long things take, how the film's going and so on) then feel free to ask in the comments and I'll do my best to answer :)

You work with Aardman? That's awesome! I loved the trailer, seeing stop motion is always nice in this world of CG (And yes, I know there is some CG in the movie but you get my point :D) and I've always loved the Aardman style. Probably because I grew up with those old Wallace & Gromit shorts when I was a kid :P

Yeah, me too - I vividly remember watching The Wrong Trousers when I was a kid and absolutely loving it. Never thought I'd end up working for them! Incidentally, my last two news posts were about working here, so give them a look if you're remotely interested in some 'behind the scenes' stuff.

omg! Aardman's movies get better and better as they go. I can't wait for this one! Totally spreading that trailer everywhere.
